To The Customers of Atwood Rentals:

On December 31, Atwood Rentals will be closing its doors for the last time. For the past couple of years we have been actively searching for someone to purchase our business. We followed a couple of leads but were unsuccessful in our attempts to sell.

After the tornado destroyed their hardware store, we were approached by Jim and Scott Waters of Water’s True Value Hardware and Just Ask Rental, who asked if we were still interested in selling our business. We said that we were. Since then, we have accepted the terms for the purchase of our assets by the Waters Corporation. Thus we will be terminating our rental business here in Manhattan.

We wanted to express our thanks to all of our customers who over the last 15.5 years have helped us to grow a successful business. We hope that we have served you well, and that we have been of service to the local community. We know that this decision will leave you with one less choice to meet your rental needs, but we believe that Scott and his staff are ready and able to step up to the task.

We wish Jim and Scott Waters the best in their rebuilding and continued business endeavors with the local community. We want to let you know that you may be contacted by a representative of Waters over the next few months. They are committed to continuing the working relationships that we have experienced with our loyal customers over the past years.

We do not know what the future holds for us but are looking forward to what comes. We hope to remain active in the local community. And, we hope the future brings success for all of you as well. Thanks again!
